Experts all over Canada are working on effective plans to deploy in the face of natural disasters. Agentic helped build a virtual community for these researchers, community members, first responders and other disaster practitioners to collaborate. Called the Disaster Risk Resilience Planning Network (drrplan.net) it's a project of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and the Justice Institute of BC (JIBC). It's a place where people in urban and remote communities alike can share best practices, develop tools and utilize cutting edge web 2.0 and mapping technologies to reduce risk and foster resilient communities. You can learn more by visiting drrplan.net and checking out events, resources or tools that affect your community.
